Hi, I'm Kris Kehlet
I'm a Danish illustrator and surface pattern designer travelling the world, but currently based in Sydney, Australia. My work is best known for its bold colors and whimsical motifs that intrigues and resonate across various product lines, purposes and audiences.

My practice is built on a simple but potent premise: that the overlooked, the odd, and the unexpected are where the most interesting design lives. The result is work that is bold, colour-saturated, and quietly subversive — robots beside oranges, neon florals, familiar objects reframed until they demand a second look.

I came to illustration after a career spanning project management, advertising, and communications — and years living across Vietnam and Thailand, where a childhood love of drawing quietly resurfaced. That background shows. My work carries the sharpness of someone who understands briefs, audiences, and deadlines, alongside the eye of someone who genuinely can't stop noticing the world.

I'm known for high-quality output, a collaborative process, and being the kind of person people genuinely enjoy working with.

Let's make something worth looking at twice.
